The Kesel from Kempten (Allgäu)

In the following I would like to present the family tree of the Kesel, which is still known today and which traces its origin back to the former free imperial city of Kempten. Until 1819 the city of Kempten was divided into two parts: the Protestant (Protestant) city surrounded by a city wall and the Abbey city under the reign of a prince abbot. In the pictures above you can see the Lorenz Basilica with the attached residence of the prince abbot as well as the "imperial city" town hall and the Protestant St. Mangkirche.

From the following pages I would like to try to present the family tree of the Kesel from the former imperial city of Kempten, today called "Old Town". On the other hand, I would also like to mention bearers of this family name who had an indirect or direct relationship with Kempten.
